Video Generation
AI Features /Advanced AI (Provider Mode) /Video GenerationCreate AI-generated videos with Google Veo or xAI.
Generate short AI videos from a text description and add them straight to your boards. Video generation is part of Provider Mode, available on Mac and on iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 26 or later, and works with Google Veo and xAI models.
Requirements
Video generation requires an API key from Google or xAI with access to video models. Select your preferred video provider in the General tab of AI Settings. If you already use OpenAI for text, images, audio, or web search, pair it with Google or xAI for video.
Note: Video generation can be expensive, so check provider pricing.
Creating Videos
- Open your board and tap the item drawer.
- Select “AI Video” from the options.
- Describe the video you want to create.
- Choose duration and aspect ratio.
- Tap Generate and wait (videos take 1-5 minutes).
- Preview the video, then add it to your board.
Video Options
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Duration | 4-12 seconds (varies by model) |
| Aspect Ratio | Landscape (16:9), Portrait (9:16), Square |
| Resolution | 720p or 1080p |
| Audio | Optional AI-generated audio track |
Provider Mode Defaults
In Provider Mode, each video-capable provider card includes a Defaults section for duration, aspect ratio, resolution, and audio preferences.
The video generation view reads those defaults when it opens. Changes you make in the video sheet are local to that request unless you return to Provider Settings and save new defaults there. AI board generation uses the same saved defaults when video tools or workers run without explicit media arguments.
Tips for Good Videos
- Keep it simple: Focus on one scene or action.
- Describe movement: “Camera slowly pans across…” or “Person walks toward…”
- Set the mood: Include lighting and atmosphere details.
