Board Management Actions

Boards are the starting point for most Corkulous automations. Use these actions to create new boards for your shortcuts to fill, open or delete existing boards, and export finished work to shareable formats.

Create Board

Creates a new board in the folder you specify.

Parameter	Required	Description
Name	Yes	The name for your new board
Folder	Yes	Which folder to create the board in
Size	Yes	Board size preset or Custom
Custom Width	No	Width in pixels (only if Size is Custom)
Custom Height	No	Height in pixels (only if Size is Custom)
Background Color	No	Hex color code (e.g., FF5733). Leave empty for cork texture.

Returns: The created board, which you can pass to other actions.

Open Board

Opens a board or navigates to the home screen. This action opens the Corkulous app.

Delete Boards

Deletes one or more boards, optionally asking for confirmation first.

Warning: Deleted boards cannot be recovered.

Export Board

Exports a board to any of seven file formats. All formats available in Shortcuts are also available in the app Share menu.

Note: Mermaid (.mmd) is available in the app’s export menu on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and Web Archive (.webarchive) format for Safari is available in the Share menu on iPhone and iPad and in the Mac CLI, but neither is available in Shortcuts.

Format Details

• PDF: Vector graphics that scale without quality loss. Links remain clickable, and text is selectable and searchable.
• PNG: Raster image format with an optional transparent background. Large boards produce large files.
• TXT: Extracts text from all items (notes, cards, labels, shapes, tasks). No layout or formatting is preserved.
• JSON: Complete board structure in machine-readable format, including positions, sizes, styles, and content. Perfect for feeding to AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT), and useful for data migrations and custom integrations.
• HTML (as ZIP): Self-contained interactive web page, exported as a ZIP file containing HTML plus a media folder. Works in any browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge), includes pan and zoom, and is viewable without Corkulous.
• Board (.corkulous): Native format that preserves everything. Import a board file by dragging it into Corkulous.
• ZIP: All media files extracted as separate files, with the board structure in JSON. Access photos, videos, and audio without Corkulous.
